The Role:

  • Generating new business and ensuring growth of existing accounts. Assess potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs.

The Role:

This position is designed for new or recent graduates (engineering, business or other technical degree) to expose them to the industrial sales & engineering process as well as introduce them to the manufacturer’s representative environment. They will develop technical skills and business acumen while gaining meaningful experience leading them into one of two tracks: the Inside Sales track or the Outside Sales track. Following a corporate and technical onboarding period, candidates will participate in a personalized 12–18-month (depending on experience) development program to educate and develop them for the next steps in their chosen track.

  • Provides a high level of communication in all forms both written and verbal (increasing customer touches).

  • Ensures all RFQ’s are completed in a timely manner with product delivery time frames that will meet the customers’ onsite requirements.
  • Evaluates incoming RFQs for proper product selection and application and provides highly skilled technical advice using principal’s sizing and quoting tools.
  • Provides customers with technical expertise on various aspects of products, systems and services.
  • Provides bid specifications and project bid specification analysis along with completion of any bid package.
  • Acts as a facilitator, possessing a general understanding of risks contained within a customer’s Purchase Order Requirements and Terms and Conditions.
  • Works with outside sales on pricing to win customer’s business.

Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities.   • Performs calibration and repairs based on manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Reads PO / appointment invites and understands scope of work and expectation of the customer.
  • Ensures the necessary and proper tools are on-hand for job assignment.
  • Reviews and challenge coordinator that proper information is included in the job assignment for executing the efficiently.
  • Communicates to Supervisor and Coordinator comfort level, ability or inability to complete assignment based on current skill set.
  • Completes trip documentation within one week following the completion of each assignment.
  • Ensures that work assigned vehicles are up to date on maintenance requests, clean and well organized.
  • Responds to scheduled and unscheduled work orders.
  • Provides technical support and information to customers and sales staff as needed.

 The Role:

  • Generating new business and ensuring growth of existing accounts. Assess potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Identify and establish relationships with key existing customers supporting current business activity as well as creating new sales opportunities.
  • Establish working relationships with principals, traveling and setting up sales calls supporting all activities in region.
  • Consistently prospecting to identify new contacts/opportunities, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline. Telemarketing, cold calling, appointment setting and proactive engagement of sales region.
  • Visit customers on behalf of ECI’s products and services in the assigned territory for the specific purpose of driving incremental growth.
  • Make joint sales calls with management and principals.
  • Engage in technical discussions with customers, perform product demonstrations and presentations that differentiate key selling advantages to meet customers’ needs to support and build sales.
  • Research and develop efficient methods to present solutions showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing manufacturer’s products.
  • Work closely with inside staff, management and principals learning the details of ECI’s product lines, systems, processes, and tools. Utilize principals tooling to provide customers with solutions and solving their technical problems.
  • Keep management informed of all activity via CRM, including opportunities and presentations to clients, communicating customer feedback on future developments, quoted, and booked sales.
  • Maintain a home office to allow for regular two-way communication. (High speed internet and cell phone coverage at your residence is required).
  • Remain knowledgeable and up to date on changes and developments in the industry.
  • Ability to learn ECI’s CRM and mileage reimbursement programs and use on a laptop or an iPad.

Who We’re Seeking:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Industrial Automation or Process Industry experience preferred. Understand industry stakeholders (End Users, Integrators, and/or Engineering Firms).
  • Technical sales experience preferred.

The Role:

This position entails both in-house repairs as well as travel to our varied customer sites (including power, energy, chemical, manufacturing, life sciences, pharma, food and beverage, and commercial) in Maryland, troubleshooting and repair of gas detection instrumentation based on the manufacturer’s specifications. Approximately 15% is overnight, primarily in the spring and fall coinciding with plant outages.

  • Performs calibration and repairs based on manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Reads PO / appointment invites and understands scope of work and expectation of the customer.
  • Ensures the necessary and proper tools are on-hand for job assignment.
  • Reviews and challenge coordinator that proper information is included in the job assignment for executing the efficiently.
  • Communicates to Supervisor and Coordinator comfort level, ability or inability to complete assignment based on current skill set.
  • Completes trip documentation within one week following the completion of each assignment.
  • Ensures that work assigned vehicles are up to date on maintenance requests, clean and well organized.
  • Responds to scheduled and unscheduled work orders.
  • Provides technical support and information to customers and sales staff as needed.
  • Follow ECI QA procedures and work instructions as directed in ECI service shop and on site.
  • Responds to on-call requests outside of set work hours.
  • Looks for additional opportunities within account and reports information to Services Operations Manager.
  • Manages projects (including outage work and long-term assignments) in conjunction with Services Operations Manager.
  • Promotion of our other services to customers.
  • Ability to work during outage season and adhere to vacation blackouts (typically October and April each year).
  • Notifies supervisor regarding parts or equipment in need of repair or replacement.
  • Performs all duties according to safety procedures and safety best practices. Notifies supervisor of any safety concerns on or off-site.
  • Ability to take to Mechanical Aptitude Test and submit to random drug and alcohol testing through DISA program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who We’re Seeking:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in technical field preferred.
  • 1-5 years in a related field or environment.
  • Experience as an electromechanical field tech doing calibration and repairs preferred.
  • Demonstrates basic electrical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Any knowledge of electrical and hydraulic actuators and familiarity with Pneumatics is a strong plus.
  • Ability and knowledge of how to use hand tools and electronic testing equipment.
  • Strong technical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting & repair skills.
  • Must be able to obtain certifications in all required ECI and Principal programs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC and PSM credentials.
  • Forklift, Scissors, lift, and confined spaces certification may also be required.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can work independently and exercise good judgment.
