The Role:
- Generating new Service/Training opportunities and ensuring growth in these areas.
- Identify and establish relationships with key existing customers supporting current business activity.
- Establish working relationships with the current outside sales team, traveling and setting up sales calls supporting service growth and training.
- Consistently prospecting to identify new contacts/opportunities, qualify them, and drive leads through the service sales pipeline. This includes telemarketing, cold calling, appointment setting, and proactive engagement of your assigned sales region.
- Visit customers on behalf of ECI in the assigned territory to drive incremental growth in service and Training.
- Make joint calls with Outside sales and management upon request/demand.
- Engage in service/training discussions with customers. Differentiate ECI’s service and training capabilities from our competitors to meet customers’ needs.
- Research and develop efficient methods of promoting the “Value Add” of ECI’s Service and Training capabilities.
- Work closely with members of the service/training team to learn about our capabilities, systems, processes, and rules of engagement.
- Keep management informed of all activity via CRM, including opportunities, communicating customer feedback on future developments, quoted, and booked sales.
- Remain knowledgeable and current on changes in our Service/Training offerings.
- Ability to learn ECI’s CRM and mileage reimbursement programs and the use on a laptop or iPhone.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Industry familiarity or similar preferred; sales and services background preferred.

Who We’re Seeking: You want to be where the action is! You enjoy working with your hands (sometimes getting them dirty) and thrive in an ever-changing environment. This crucial role ensures the reliability, accuracy, and safety of industrial processes by maintaining and servicing the instruments that are essential for monitoring and controlling various parameters.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in technical field preferred.
Experience: You have 1-5 years’ experience in a hands-on technical application. Experience as an electromechanical field tech doing calibration and repairs preferred. You should be able to demonstrate basic electrical and mechanical knowledge, use of hand tools and electronic testing equipment, and a strong attention to safety and detail. Applicants with any knowledge of electrical and hydraulic actuators and familiarity with pneumatics is a strong plus.
Certifications:
- Must be able to obtain certifications in all required ECI and Principal programs.
- Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC and PSM credentials.
- Forklift, Scissors, lift, and confined spaces certification may also be required.
- Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record.

Area of Coverage: Virginia
Location: Ideal candidate will live in or around the Richmond, VA area.
Travel / Office: Candidate would work out of home office with travel to varied customer sites for service appointments (calibration, troubleshooting, repair, etc.) according to manufacturer’s specifications. Approximately 15% is overnight, primarily in the spring and fall coinciding with plant outages.
