What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When you visit and navigate our website, we will not collect personal information about you unless you provide us that information voluntarily. By “Personal Information,” we mean data that is unique to an individual, such as a name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, and other information. We collect Personal Information for a variety of reasons, such as fulfilling information requests about our products, enabling the use of certain features or services for our products, or in connection with a job application. We may combine the information we collect from you with information obtained from other sources to help us improve our website’s overall accuracy and completeness, and to help us better tailor our interactions with you.
ECI utilizes generally-accepted security measures (such as encryption) to protect against the misuse or unauthorized disclosure of any Personal Information you submit to us. However, like other Internet sites, we cannot guarantee that it is completely secure from people who might attempt to evade security measures or intercept transmissions over the Internet. We cannot assume any responsibility and expressly disclaim any liability for the security of your data during transmission from your computer. It is your own responsibility to ensure that the computer you are using is adequately secured and protected.
Contact and Opting-Out. If you no longer wish to receive communications from ECI, you may email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or click on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email sent to you. You should know that opting-out or unsubscribing from our site does not delete the Personal Information from our system that may exist in backup or disaster-recovery files.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you submit personal/business information (i.e. name, address, email address, phone number, etc.) via a contact form we can keep your information for up to one year.
ECI’s Web Site utilizes “cookies”. If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
The third-party cookies used on our websites are used for understanding how the website performs, how you interact with our website, keeping our services secure, providing advertisements that are relevant to you, and all in all providing you with a better and improved user experience and help speed up your future interactions with our website.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell or share your information with third parties unless you have granted us permission to do so. We may send you periodic emails or contact you by other means about our products, market research, surveys or feedback. We may share Personal Information with business partners, service vendors, authorized third-party agents or contractors to provide the requested information or service. We only provide these third parties with the minimum amount of Personal Information necessary to complete/provide the requested information or service. We do not give third parties the right to use your Personal Information for a different purpose. We may also respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal process by disclosing your Personal Information and other related information if required to do so.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
ECI does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 18. If we learn that we inadvertently have collected such information, we will promptly delete that information from our system.
