Who is REXA?
REXA was founded in 1981, by Robert Glomeau, former President and CEO of Masoneilan, who was driven by his need for a better actuator for the process control market.
REXA’s mission is to deliver world-class, high performance, and reliable products and services. Through innovative engineering, design, and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction, REXA seeks out the most challenging industrial process control issues and develops a customized, user-specific solution.
What is the X2 Rotary Actuator?
REXA’s Rotary Actuators are ideal for control of ball valve or butterfly valve applications requiring stiff control and instantaneous response. These Actuators allow for modulating duty cycle and precise positioning independent of load variation. Hydraulic pressure is generated by an internal positive displacement gear pump driven a stepper or servo motor with no limitations on starts, stops, or reverse cycles.
This self-contained electro-hydraulic system locks the cylinder in place when no movement is required, which helps minimize wear-and-tear on moving components and eliminates unnecessary power consumption.
- Control Interface – All calibration and operation functions can be performed without opening the enclosure, making for a simple and user-friendly setup.
- Fail-Safe Capable – Fail safe on the loss of main power is easily adapted to any REXA Actuator configuration.
- Control Parameters – The standard control parameters allow for each actuator to be fine-tuned to specific applications. This allows the user to calibrate each actuator’s plan to match valve stroke, program electronic limit switches, customize the desired actuator speed, fine-tune motor acceleration/deceleration to eliminate overshoot, and much more!
- Manual Override Options – When electric power is unavailable, REXA actuators can be operated with one of two manual operators: a declutch-able handwheel or a manual hydraulic pump.
