Fluenta’s FGM 160 Flare Gas Meter is designed to operate under large velocity variations for the gas flowing in the flare pipe, large pipe diameters, and low-pressure situation at the metering point, etc. The ultrasonic sensors are wetted, but non-intrusive, and will thus not disturb the flowing gas. Low pressures, large pipe diameters, and limitations on the amount of electric power are all problems that the 160 Flare Gas Meter solves by using two different types of signals: Continuous Wave and Chirp.
Benefits
Fluenta’s 160 Flare Gas Meter has a wide variety of benefits:
- Covers higher velocity ranges than any other flare meter
- No mechanical moving parts makes the instrument less exposed to wear
- Covers a wide range of temperatures
- Two signal types enhance the accuracy and stability of the meter readings, preventing signal loss at high and low velocities
About Fluenta
Founded in 1985, Fluenta is the global leader in the use of ultrasonic sensing technology for the measurement of flare gas, with more than 75% of the offshore market. Monitoring Flare Gas is a critical aspect of managing safety and profitability within the oil and gas industry as well as providing the basis by which oil companies pay certain taxes and report environmental issues. Using the latest ultrasonic sensing technology, Fluenta is extending its monitoring and measurement capabilities to the chemicals, security, and medical industries.
